Data We Collect

GarlicTV collects only what is necessary for account functionality:

  • Email address (for account creation and login)
  • Authentication tokens, stored encrypted on your device (never sent to our servers in plain form)
  • Watch progress and library data (for cloud sync, if enabled)
  • Installed addon list (for cloud sync between devices)

GarlicTV does not collect analytics, usage data, browsing history, crash reports, or any information about what content you access through third-party plugins.

Data Storage

Account data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS). All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Authentication tokens are stored in encrypted local storage (MMKV) on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.

Sub-Processors

GarlicTV uses the following infrastructure sub-processors:

  • Supabase -- authentication, cloud sync, and account data storage
  • TorBox -- debrid proxy for Pro subscribers (stream resolution requests are routed through a shared key; your personal data is not shared with TorBox)

No other third parties receive your personal data. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

Third-Party Plugins

When you install and use third-party plugins, those plugins may connect to external servers operated by their respective developers. GarlicTV has no visibility into or control over the data practices of third-party plugin developers. Review the privacy policies of any plugins you install.

No Tracking

GarlicTV does not use analytics services, advertising trackers, crash reporting tools, or any form of user behavior monitoring. There is no Sentry, no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, and no telemetry of any kind.

Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. You can delete your account through the app settings, which removes all server-side data including watch progress, library items, and sync data. For data requests that cannot be completed through the app, email nate2g8@gmail.com.
