1. What GarlicTV Is

GarlicTV is an open-source media player application licensed under GPL-3.0. It provides a mobile interface for playing media files and network streams, and supports a community plugin system that allows users to extend the player's functionality. GarlicTV is available on iOS and Android only; there is no web streaming service.

2. What GarlicTV Is Not

GarlicTV is not a streaming service. It does not host, store, index, curate, distribute, or link to any media content. It is a player -- analogous to VLC, mpv, or Infuse. GarlicTV operates no content servers or CDNs, and has no role in delivering media streams.

3. Community Plugins

GarlicTV allows users to install third-party plugins (also referred to as "addons") created by the open-source community. These plugins are developed, hosted, and maintained entirely by independent third parties. GarlicTV:

  • Does not develop, publish, or maintain any third-party plugins
  • Does not review, audit, or verify the content provided by plugins
  • Does not endorse any particular plugin or plugin developer
  • Does not control or have access to the servers that plugins connect to
  • Makes no representations about the legality, safety, or quality of any plugin

The plugin browsing interface within GarlicTV is a convenience feature analogous to a web browser's address bar. It does not imply affiliation with or endorsement of any plugin.

4. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • The plugins you choose to install and use
  • Any content you access through installed plugins
  • Ensuring your use complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction
  • Any third-party services you connect to (including debrid services)

5. Pro Subscription and Payment

The Pro tier is a one-time lifetime purchase ($11.99). Payment is processed manually via Venmo or CashApp; there is no automated billing or subscription renewal. Pro access is granted after manual admin approval and remains active indefinitely unless revoked at admin discretion (e.g., for abuse or violation of these terms). No automated refund system exists; refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis by contacting the admin.

6. Debrid Proxy

Pro subscribers receive access to a TorBox debrid proxy operated by GarlicTV. This proxy routes requests through a shared TorBox API key; the key is never exposed to your device. Use of the debrid proxy is subject to TorBox's own terms of service, and you remain responsible for the content you access through it.

7. No Warranty

GarlicTV is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The developers make no guarantees regarding availability, reliability, accuracy, or fitness for any purpose.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GarlicTV and its developers shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of the application, including but not limited to damages arising from the use of third-party plugins, access to third-party content, or reliance on third-party services.

9. Copyright

GarlicTV does not host any content. If you believe a third-party plugin infringes on your copyrights, please contact the plugin developer directly. GarlicTV has no control over third-party plugins or their content.

10. Changes

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of GarlicTV constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
